How did you know the places in the palm opened to the heart?

He smiles…. Oh that!  The old maps.

The what?

Some wise ancients in Asia discovered places in our bodies that work hard for us, and the places they work hard for.

How did they discover that?

By doing what you just did.
They quieted themselves to the point where they could focus on the sensations of their feelings. Then they tracked these sensations through their bodies. So, if a woman was angry or a man had a headache, they followed the tension or tightness to its source, maybe in a hand or foot, or some place in the middle.

You mean to tell me that pressing a place in my hand can stop a headache?

Or perhaps what’s driving the headache.  What’s important is reminding that in the body something is closing off.  When you found that sensation in your chest you were reminded of that.  But that wasn’t all you found, was it?

What else did I find?

The place inside that was waiting when it opened… when the tears came up.

My guide looks at me and smiles as I grasp his words.

I admire you for being so gentle with that.

He continues quietly. This is how we find meaning.  When we are quiet enough, we can reach what’s held. That way we can remain by it… and… arrive where it is.

I’d like to go there.  How can I learn more?
